Meet the Blogger!

Behind the blog...

Well here I am!

Today I have joined a blog hop who's purpose is to get to know a little more about the blogger behind the blog!

And since I am brand new to blogging, I thought it fitting to not only let you get to know me better, but to also visit as many of you as I can, to get to know all you other bloggers, behind the blogs!

So we were given a list of questions to answer about ourselves and also asked to post a pic or two. So here goes, hope you enjoy, and i'm looking forward to reading all other blogs who joined this hop!

Mika and I, all tuckered out from our romp in the snow! :)

Myself and Lexi...not wanting to pose for the pic ;)

So now for the questions.

        (Q) What is one thing that you've done that your most proud of ?

(A) I would have to say, building my family. I have a beautiful family, with 2 daughters and 2 step sons, and of course my fur-children including my 2 Huskies, and 3 kitties.
We have had our share of ups and downs, no denying that, but we always come through and I believe we are a stronger family because of it.

        (Q) Other then blogging, what are 3 things that bring you joy ?

(A) My kids, my fur-kids and my man-child! haha! ;)

       (Q) Who is your favorite actor ?

(A) I am torn between Paul Walker (may he RIP)
Will Smith and  Channing Tatum ;) ;) ;)

             (Q) What is your favorite holiday

(A)   Christmas!! For many reasons, but to name a few, I love having family get- togethers at my house, and what better time then Christmas?
I LOVE seeing my kids open their gifts on Christmas morning.
I LOVE their anticipation on Christmas Eve, and how excited they are!
I remember it so fondly from when I was a child, and how my brother and I used to sit up half the night because we wanted to hear Santa on our roof!
And how we used to pretend that we were sleeping when our mom and dad came to check on us.....they didn't want us to meet Santa, of course ;)
How happy we were as kids on Christmas morning finding the toys we had asked Santa for under the tree and on our sofa.
And now, being able to pass that on to our kids gives me joy beyond words!

             (Q) What do you like to do in your free time?

(A)  Hmmm.....I like coloring with my 3 year old (I think I like to color more then she does LOL)
I like to spend time on the computer with my 10 year old (playing games, helping her with a project etc)
I enjoy cuddle time with my fur-kids
I am a big hockey fan, so I love game night when our team is playing, whether its win or lose, yell at the TV, or cheer at the TV, I love watching the game with the man-child of the house. Go Leafs Go!!

            (Q) What is your favorite book?

(A) Well it's a toss up....I have read so many great book lately it's hard to choose, so i'm gonna list a few...

      - Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet
      -  Fall of Giants by Ken Follet
      - 50 shades of Grey series by E.L James
-A prayer for Owen Meany By John Irving

And my current read : Game of thrones series by George RR Martin

Ok so now you know a little more about me, so I am off to read some about you!
Thanks so much for coming by and I wish you all a Happy Thursday!

    1. Yes, I did know that actually! I even bought the whole series on DVD! Just a few weeks ago, and have watched a few episodes........then my 3 year old daughter found one of the discs and accidentally snapped it.....disc 3......so I guess I have to replace that now LOL

  5. Great to learn a bit about you! That's the second vote I've seen on this hop for Pillars of the Earth. I need to get busy and read it! Maybe over the holidays. Ahhh, you've just reminded me how much I used to love coloring w/ my nieces! Too bad we have no little ones in the family anymore. Kinda odd for an adult to color alone. ;)
