❇ OMD! Monday ❇

Hiya !

Welcome to another OMD rescue story.

First I want to start out by saying , I have worked really hard over the weekend improving the look of my blog. I just started blogging in November of 2013 as most of you know , and I have been through many different looks , trying to find the one that best fits . I really like the way everything turned out , and I hope you all do to ! :-)

Now on with this weeks rescue .

✴ contains upsetting images ✴

ASPCA removes 40+ dogs from Kentucky puppy mill .

Dream catcher kennels , a substandard breeding facility frequently referred to as a 'puppy mill' has recently had over 40 dogs and puppies removed from their possession.

The dogs , ranging from tiny chihuahuas to blood hounds , were discovered living in filthy conditions , many had untreated medical conditions , and were left outside with no shelter in below freezing temperatures .

Dennis Bradly , age 61 is awaiting court and is expected to plead guilty on a charge of animal cruelty (second degree) and as part of Bradly's plea , he has surrendered every one of the dogs who are currently in the care of a shelter in Louisville on a temporary basis where they are being treated for any medical conditions they have and / or injuries .

As true for these dogs as it is for numerous other puppy mill rescues , these dogs have had very limited human interaction and major lack of the basic necessities that a dog needs to live a happy healthy life .

Our hearts go out to these animals and we are SO glad they have been rescued , and now have a chance to be adopted to their furever home and be loved the way these pups should be .
And we are also very grateful to the ASPCA for their amazing rescues .

These dogs were rescued , but there are still so many out there who are stuck in mills as we speak . Be part of the solution , don't buy pet store puppies . There is a rescue dog near you waiting to be loved .

You can donate to the ASPCA by clicking HERE to further help the cause .
They do the rescues , but they can't do it alone .

Also feel free to take a look at a video to see some of the ASPCA's work and some of the dogs they have rescued Here

  9. Puppy mills break our hearts. I attended a speech at a conference about puppy mills. The creator of "Madonna of the Mills," an HBO documentary spoke and it was amazing and heartbreaking and hopeful..it's stayed with me and I'll never forget it.

Your blog looks great by the way!
