OMD! Monday ❇

Happy Monday everybody !

I hope you all had a great weekend !

I have a very touching story for you today about a partially paralyzed kitty and a very caring pup !

Last October ABC News had one of the most endearing stories of an inseparable duo that anyone had ever read .
Ruth is the name of this adorable kitty with partial paralized legs. Though as reported , she does not seem to notice that she is different from anybody else .
Idgie is her body guard . Her best furiend pup who does not stray far from her side and is always ready to defend her upon intruders !

This pair was found abandoned laying down together at the end of someones driveway  and were quickly rescued by Seminole county animal services .
Of course Idgie , not knowing they were there to help , quickly came To Ruth's rescue .

Once they were safe and sound , word went out about the duo , and nobody ever came forward to claim either of them .

The facility tried several different treatments for Ruth's legs , but nothing was working , but as they said , she is a happy go lucky kitty and doesn't seem to mind a bit !

There was no way the rescue group were going to let the pair be separated , the friendship between Ruth and Idgie was just to strong , they are now adopted TOGETHER and are living fabulously ! With tons of attention at Hollywood Houndz Boutique & Spa !

Watch this heartwarming video of the 2 playing and sharing some nuzzles .

As much as it saddens me to watch Ruth try and crawl around like that , I know she's happy , she's got her best friend with her , she's got food , she's got love , and she's got warmth  ! I'm so happy for these 2 and had to share this with you , it touched my heart deeply.

Have a great day everyone and please take a moment to view my husky share of the day created by my friend Shane from "Shane's Effects"

  5. We remember that story. So many animals are found that are closely bonded. it's always a joy to find they are adopted together.

  8. What a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing it. It's so sad that they were abandoned but so great they are happy now. Sometimes I think pets' disabilities bother us more than they bother them. Our beagle Kobi sometimes has trouble with his back legs, but if he occasionally falls over, we feel so awful, but he just gets right back up and keeps going like it's no big deal! They adapt so well to whatever they have to deal with.

    1. Your right they certainly do. I suppose us humans could learn a thing or 2 from them when it comes to that sort of thing.
We tend to get mopey, and feel sorry for ourselves in similar situation (who can blame us tho) but dogs, as you said just get back up and keep on goin!
