OMD! Mondays

Hi everybody, we hope you all had a pawsome weekend!

If you follow my OMD Mondays, you will remember a few weeks ago when I posted about the issue with culling stray dogs in Sochi "due" to the Olympics.
If you missed it, feel free to go ahead and check it out HERE

A short recap of the post mentioned above:

Sochi has a huge stray "problem"
With the Olympics coming there, they wanted to do something to remove the strays from the streets.
Their bright idea was to poison these dogs.

At any rate the world spoke up! We rised against this.
And we THOUGHT we had gotten through to them.
BUT instead photos and other proof started showing up that dogs were indeed still being poisoned and found dead on the streets of Sochi.

Long story short, they went behind peoples backs and hired a non government company to do their dirty work for them.

Biological trash!!!!???? This is how the dogs of Sochi are classified.
Disgusting...

So what did we do?

We stood up . . . AGAIN!

We fought back.

And just a couple  mornings ago,  I have received an email which I have copied and will paste below. I wanted to share it with you.

  7. It breaks my heart how we treat animals. These dogs are just an example. Our species needs a swift kick in the butt!

    1. Yes I agree. An example of an all to horrible fate that so many animals suffer.
All we can do is keep on fighting the good fight though. High hopes and actions, mean results if we keep at it!
Thanks for stopping by to share this story

  8. Another pawesome victory! Totally heartbreaking that this was thought to be a reasonable resolution initially.. how much did the Olympic games cost to put together again? 50 millionish? It's a sad kind of strange the way humans prioritize...so glad to see people come together and fight back on these important issues.

  10. Great news, but it should never have happened in the first place humans create the problem so we should solve it mass culling isn't the way though. Let's hope the good work continues and it wasn't just for show to make them look good.

  12. Whoa! Peeps wouldn’t watch the Olympics because of the dogs being killed and their stance on gays. I’m glad they came to their senses on one of the two things. It’s funny that dogs have Thoughtless Thursday and cats have Thankful Thursday. Hmmm.
