Now since it is OMD! Monday, we have a pawsome story for you about a very inspiring little boy from the Philippines.
For a few weeks, a very curious father watched as his son put on his backpack every day and disappeared from his neighborhood.
His father was shocked to find out what his son was doing with his spare time.
As a naturally concerned parent, the boys father decided to tag along with him one day. It was then that he learned that his big hearted son was bringing dog food to stray dogs all around the neighborhood.
The boy had been doing this every day, and even had names for each of the dogs. He explained that it took quite some time to gain the dogs trust. At first he couldn't get closer then 50 ft to the dogs, so he would leave the food and sit and talk to them for a while.
Now, since the boy has been there every day with food, the dogs are learning to trust him, knowing he brings no harm.
I love this photo below as the white pup gives him high fives! You can see the connection and progress this child has been making.
Since seeing what his son has been up to, the father has decided to follow in his sons footsteps. He now assists him in feeding the dogs daily, and is determined to have the dogs skin condition cleaned up and has plans to find these pups each their very own fur-ever home.
On behalf of our pack here at Love is being owned by a husky, we would like to say thank you to this boy for his big heart, and to his father for further assisting his son. We need more people in the world like them.
This boy has a dream to open his own shelter one day and we wish him the very best of luck! Follow your dreams!
