OMD! Mondays

Hi everyone,

We hope you all had a PAWsome weekend!
We had a great time!
Here in Canada (the great white north) our winter has yet to end.
SO , on Saturday we got another fair size snow storm!
Being that this could be our last good snow before spring actually starts, we spent most of the weekend outside with our huskies and our daughters.
The girls were sledding, the huskies were running, and where was I you ask? Why, I was taking photos and videos of course!!
I will be sharing our weekend fun photos this week.

I am not exactally a photographer, and my photos are anything but professional,  but these one turned out great !
I find the best photos are taken when they are natural.
No poses , just having fun!
So I am exited to post them this week.

Now, on to our OMD story of the week.

I am sure you all know what a therapy dog is and what their purpose is for.
But have any of you heard of the new weather therapy dog?
His name is Butler

Butler is the new weather channel therapy dog!
The weather channel partnered up with the American humane assosiation and did a  nationwide search to find , adopt , and train a therapy dog.

The purpose of this , is for Butler to accompany weather channel personnel to help bring love , reassurance , and comfort to victims of natural disaster and devistation.

Butler is a Shepherd cross who was adopted from the Humane society of Charlotte.

Butler is being trained by his new furever home mamma Amy McCollough.
They both seem super happy to have found each other, and Amy describes him as well mannered , attentive and energrtic.

In Butlers newfound employment , he does have a busy schedule with lots of duties to attend to , such as visiting schools , hospitals , shelters and others in need across the country , following natural disasters.
I was happy to learn that Butler still has lots of play time and time to be a "normal" pup. I love these next photos of him getting into puppy mischief and playing with his pals!

If you would like to visit Butler and learn some more about
him , feel free to head over to the the weather channel website. Just click HERE!

Butler , we are so happy that you found your furever home , and we wish you all the best of luck in your new job!

And that's it for OMD today, hope you enjoyed :)

  11. Great story about Butler!
I agree with you about photography. My best shots are the natural ones, no poses. I also seem to do best at outdoor photos, and my good camera does really nice action shots (it has a special setting for those which I use). Can't wait to see your pictures of your fun weekend! More snow though, oh boy! We lucked out, no more snow, but it's still been too cold!

  13. That is such a cool thing for Butler to do. Our local meteorologist has a weather dog who looks so much like Butler - her name is Stormy. Thanks for telling us the story of Butler.
