Hope you all had a PAWtastic weekend!
Last weekend we had a good snowfall and spent the weekend outside thinking it would be the final storm of the year.
WELL old man winter here in the North had another idea, because we got another few inches of snow last night!
So we have some happy huskies this year with the ongoing winter!
For today's OMD post I would like to share some information about a seal "nursery" here in Canada.
This beautiful and serene place in Eastern Canada Where no humans live, is one of the last Truly wild places on Earth!
It is known as the Harp Seal Nursery.
Take a moment to watch this short video and watch the peacefulness of the seal pups. Click HERE to watch!
Unfortunately there is a threat to these seals once they shed their coats at only weeks old , the government is going to subsidize sealers to Kill these pups.
There is a petition going around , so please take a moment to sign.
Sign the petition HERE.
Let's help these little pups guys!!
We need to send a message to Canada's government.
OK, so I know today's post has not been about huskies, or even dogs! BUT I just had to share this, many of you know that I am an active member of Care2 Causes, and am always trying my best to do what I can for our pets and animals of the world who need a voice.
I do have one more thing for you today, and this one IS about dogs.
Unfortunately it is to late to save these beautiful huskies , but the least we can do is bring them some justice.
Click HERE to bring Kodah and Mush some justice.
Rest easy pups.
I apologize for the bit of upsetting news but we can help with our voices.
Stay tuned tomorrow for the very first day of the A to Z challenge!
