Sibe-Vibe Goes Sepia!

Hiya everyone!

Welcome to today's vibe!
We are taking part in the Sepia Saturday blog hop today, hosted by Ruckus the Eskie.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy our husky fact of the week, with some PAWsome sepia shots!

HUSKY FUN FACT :

Did you know that huskies are considered to be an "odorless" dog ?
Its true!

Let's face it, there are some of our beloved dogs out there who just have that "dog smell."

You know the smell I mean.
When you walk into somewhere and say "ah, it smells like dog in here"
Not that it is anyone's fault, but some breeds have a stronger odor then others. A lot of the time, it doesn't have anything to do with a dog having bad hygiene, it could just be that certain breed happens to have "that dog smell."  Although it can be at least somewhat controlled by making sure your dog is bathed and groomed on a regular basis.

Huskies are well known to keep themselves very clean,
You will often find them cleaning themselves like a cat.
They are very meticulous about keeping that stunning double coat of theirs clean and shiny.
Compared to other breeds, huskies do not need to be bathed very often at all!
Unless of course your husky rolls in something I'd rather not mention .
Or gets a ton of mud on him!

The majority of a huskies hygiene care that is a MUST for us humans to do, consists of ,
grooming , ear cleaning , nail clipping , and bathing them, when needed.

Huskies tend to have sensitive skin as well , so it is not a good idea to bath any more then absolutely necessary .

And that is our husky fun fact of the week .
We hope you enjoyed !

Now, moving on to our weekly sepia shots!

These are just some random photos that I was playing with in my editor app. Enjoy :)

How bout you? Are you one of those dogs with "that dog smell?"
If so , how often are you bathed in order to keep it under control?

Before you go, please take a moment to vote for Lexus.

*Please keep in mind , there are breeds who do have a strong odor , and it is of no fault to their owners , unless of course the dog is not properly cared for*

  1. Pugs are definitely a stinky breed, but they are topped by the bulldog, and trust my I have both. The thing is I love my pugs so much and my bulldog too I find their constant tooting cute

  3. Mom knew that fact about husky's. Being part husky, mom is amazed at how thick my coat is. I know she will take the Furminator to me sometime this spring. Do your furs shed a lot come spring?

    3. My last dog was a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/German Shepherd cross. She did have an odor, but it really wasn't too bad. I have noticed with Buddy, he is a Golden Retriever/Siberian Husky cross, that he has very little odor in comparison. But man, when he blows his coat, he really blows his coat!

    1. How interesting how some are oily and stinky and some are not! Wonder why that is? Maybe its partly to do with genes? Not sure!

  12. Odorless dogs! Yes! I think it's the double coat. It's nice benefit especially since there's alot of grooming that comes with. Imagine a dog that requires alot of grooming and still smells. YUCK. So glad us dogs can get away with minimal odor. Happy Sepia/SibeVibe Saturday!

  17. I did not know that about huskies. We've been pretty lucky with beagles and goldens who don't smell much, we don't have to bathe them really unless they get into something. That could certainly be a factor to consider when choosing a dog, if you're not one that likes having to give them baths all the time!
