Summer treats for your dog! / Adoptable pets OFT

Hiya everyone!

Today we are mixing it up a little bit and joining TWO blog hops!
PLUS we have our winners from my Blanket ID pet pod giveaway!
a Rafflecopter giveaway

Big Congrats to the winners! They have all been contacted via email.
Enjoy your pet pods!!

Tasty Tuesday, and Tuesday Tails.

I am going to start with Tasty Tuesday.
This is where bloggers get together and share recipes, or even just share something tasty that our pets love!
Tasty Tuesday is hosted by Sugar the Golden Retriever
 and Kol's Notes.

I was messing around over the weekend, trying to come up with a cool treat for my huskies. The weather was warm and I got to thinking, my kids love a freezie or Popsicle on hot days, so I bet the huskies would too.

I had some no fat, plain yogurt in the fridge, so I was just going to make some yogurt pops.
But I added a peanut butter twist. Super simple recipe, no exact measurements, but the dogs LOVED them!

Ingredients :
  • No fat plain yogurt
  • Peanut butter
What you'll need :
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Ice cube tray
Add 1 or two scoops of peanut butter, to about 5 tablespoons of yogurt.
Again, there is no exact measurement. Just go by eye, until you have the desired consistency.

Mix it up!

Until desired consistency is reached.
Then add your mixture to an ice cube tray.

Ok, so it may not look the "neatest" but hey, it works!

Put your ice cube tray in the freezer for AT LEAST 3 hours.
Pop them out, and give to your dogs on a hot day!

The huskies absolutely loved them!
But of course, that wasn't all. After the making of our newest creation, I asked the huskies if they would like to lick the bowl and spoons . . .

I think they liked it . . .

What do you think?

Check out Koda's yogurt beard after the fact!

Nom Noms!

Now let's move on to our Tuesday Tails portion of today's post.
This hop is hosted by Lisa from Dogs 'n' Pawz and Sue from Talking Dogs.

It is my pleasure to introduce you to the beautiful Anna :

Anna is a 3 year old female Siberian Husky.
She is an extremely loving girl, who loves to be close to her humans.
She was picked up as a stray, therefore her meet and greet manners were not great. Her foster family has been working on that with her, and they are super happy with the progress she has made.
Anna gets a little excited when she first meets new dogs, however once she is around them, she calms down.
Her behavior with cats is unknown.
Anna is currently heart worm positive, but she is on medication and is pawfectly healthy aside from that.
She is spayed and vaccines up to date, and would LOVE to find her FURever home.

Are you the one who can give Anna the love she deserves?
For more info visit The Florida Siberian Husky Rescue site.

Being that June is adopt a cat month, I am featuring a few kitties who all need some loving FURever homes!

These gorgeous kitties all reside at my local shelter, LAWS (Lanark Animal Welfare Society)
LAWS is a no kill shelter and they are extremely over flowing with cats. As are many other shelters across the world. Please share and spread the word that June is adopt a cat month.
Let give some kitties the love they deserve!

Thanks everyone, and before you go, don't forget to enter our current #contest #giveaway.
You have FOUR days left!
Submit your pet photos to markandjenna01@outlook.com to win your own set of personalized K9 Kelp coins! For full contest details click HERE.

Enjoy the rest of your day, and see you tomorrow for some more pawsome husky graphics on Wordless Wednesday!

    1. Why thank you!
I had to let them lick the bowl! I remember when I was a kid, any time I helped bake something, the best part was always getting to scrape out the bowl!!! So I knew my huskies would love that as well!
      Have a great day!

  5. Mom and I are all about our food looking fancy, but in the end, it doesn't really matter because us dogs eat it all up so fast we don't even take a look at it! We make those peanut butter pops too. You can add a touch of honey to them too for even more flavor :)

  7. Those pup pops look amazing! Our little Chewy has just discovered ice cubes. Based on that experience, I probably couldn't give him these cubes. We give him an ice cube and hear him all over the house with it, playing. I'm imagining the mess of the melted peanut butter and yogurt ...

    1. BOL!!!! No doubt!!!! But on the other hand, because these are flavored whereas regular ice cubes are not, he may just eat them? WHo knows though! haha!
Melted peanut butter and yogurt all over the house would be quite the mess~!!!

  17. Happy Birthday, Mika!!
I love making frozen treats like that, they are so easy! I made similar ones recently, and added banana as well. I also just like to make them with yogurt and fresh fruit. For some reason frozen treats sometimes don't agree with Sheba, or she doesn't want them, so I always let her lick the spoons and bowls so she gets some.
So many cute kitties needing homes....I hope a lot of people are adopting cats this month.
PS....I just got my decals that I won from you applied, I'll be sharing tomorrow where I put them! :)

I wanted to add banana as well, but we didn't have any, and it was a quick treat fix on a hot day. But next time, there will definitely be bananas!
I hope lots of kitties get adopted as well!!!! Poor little things!!!
I can't wait to see where you have the decals!!!
