Huskies like picnics too!

Hiya everyone!

Do you love Summer?
So do we!
I mean, my 3 huskies would greatly prefer winter 365 days a year, but that doesn't mean they don't have summer fun as well!

We celebrated Canada's birthday on July 1st, and I have been sharing photos off and on from our celebration day. I have a few more for you today.
We spent most of the day, down by the water, but we did come home for a break, and to have some dinner before going back for fireworks.
We decided to bring the huskies and the kids outside, and have a picnic!

Mika thought she would sit on the picnic blanket with us, and try her luck at the 'ol puppy eye trick!
It worked, of course the kids each gave her and the other two huskies, a piece of their hot dogs.

I love this photo. I decided to take a step back, and just seeing my family all sitting on the blanket, warmed my heart. I took many photos, but I won't overload you today!

I think it's safe to say, my pack got plenty worn out on Canada day!

BUT, picnics aren't just for outside! Oh no.
When you have a 3 year old human child, and huskies who are more then willing to be involved, picnics are wonderful with some plastic food, sitting on your living room floor!

Quite the spread we have huh?
My huskies were anxiously awaiting some treats while they sat pretty, looking at all the fake food, so I went and got some crackers for everybody.

Koda's face says it all! He has his paw up on my leg, clearly stating that the plastic food was just no good!

I love this photo of Lexus and my daughter. Such a beautiful bond.

Do your dogs like picnics?
What sort of outdoor things do you and your pack do?

Now, for our adoptable husky of the week.
This part of our post, is for the Tuesday Tails blog hop.
Hosted by Lisa from Dogs 'n' Pawz and Sue from Talking Dogs.

Meet Ali :

Ali is a gorgeous Siberian husky / Malamute cross.
You get the best of both snow dog worlds with this beauty!

Ali is female, and just a little over 12 months old. Still tons of puppy in this high spirited girl!
Ali would prefer a home without cats and any other smaller animals.
She is a ball of energy, and will do very well with a high energy family.

Huskies are a high energy breed, and will not do well with first time dog owners. Please see my "Are huskies for you?" page and find out if a Sibe is right for your family.

If you think you can give the beautiful Ali her FURever home, please click HERE for more info.

Ali is available in Australia, so please share share share! Let's get this pup a home!

Thanks for sharing your Tuesday with us, and see you tomorrow, for the latest husky graphics I have been working on!

  5. Of course they do!! What fun. My Earl will make it his mission whilst we have picnics or barbecues to get at food. If you turn your head, he'll lick tenderly whatever you're holding! You turn back to se a now-sheepish dog tongue!!

Lots of Woofs from Earl and I at Earl's World!

  10. Koda is right. Plastic play food doesn't cut it for a successful picnic. Crackers, on the other hand..... Mmmmm....

    Love and licks,

  11. Picnics are so much fun, but I think all dogs would agree that real food is required!! BOL! I love the family photos.
The dogs love it when we eat out on the screen porch. They think being in a different area means we're going to share!
I shared Ali on Pinterest, hope she finds a home soon, what a beauty.

  12. How fun! My dogs are beggars/thieves when it comes to our food. They try to be subtle, but it doesn't work...

  15. Oh, your family picnic is so precious! It is just the best of family times. I love Koda with her paw on your leg. It's like she's say, "Mom, I don't want to hurt their feelings, but the food tastes really bad!" Ali is beautiful. Hoping a family finds her soon ♥
