Thanks so much for coming by to spend part of your Tuesday with me and the huskies!
As promised, today I will fill you in on some of the things we did on the Labour Day weekend. (Or, Labor Day in the U.S.)
Yesterday, I decided to take the Sibe Tribe for a hike.
We don't have many areas to hike around here, but we found some trails that went beyond our river, and we explored. Of course on the way there, we had to stop at the picnic tables.
Mika and Koda LOVE jumping up on the tables. I'm not sure why, but I cannot walk by a picnic table without having them jump up on them.
We continued to explore the trails, and the huskies really enjoyed venturing into new places.
On Saturday, my mom came to our house, so she could watch our pets and our kids, so that me and "the human man" could go out for the day.
While we were away, mom and my daughters made the dogs some yummy treats.
Frozen banana's with peanut butter in the middle.
2 of their fav treats combined. What more could they ask for?
While the kids (both human, and furry) were having a blast with mom, the human man and I went into Gatineau to go see a concert. Not just any concert, but one of my most FAVORITE people in the whole world!
I have been a HUGE fan of Phillip Phillips from day one.
Day one being his very first audition on American Idol back in 2012.
I have always wanted to see him live, and I finally had the chance.
There was no way I was passing this up!
Saturday night was one of the most memorable nights of my life!
As you can see from the photos above, we were pretty close to the stage, and Phillip absolutely rocked Gatineau!
After the concert, they had an amazing fireworks show.
Gatineau throws one of the biggest fireworks shows in the world. So it was really something to see.
We decided to go up on the Ferris Wheel so we could get a view of the whole city.
It was just beautiful to see the mountains in the background and so many people who were already gathering for the concert, hours and hours ahead of time!
One more thing before you go.
Have you ever seen one of those mechanical bull rides?
I have never been on one, but at the festival, I got some video of a guy who was having a blast on the bull.
Check it out!
Mark (the human man) and I, don't have to many chances to get out and do things like this, so it was a super special night for us.
That's all for now guys, thanks for coming by. And I know the last part of this post wasn't pet related, but I just had to share my experience with all of you. Thanks for listening :-)
What did you and your fur-babies do on the long weekend?
