Save the Sibes!

What is it with people thinking it is ok to ditch dogs on the side of the road, or chain them to a bench, while they starve?

Today is my "Oh My Dog" Mondays. And yes, I am ranting a wee bit, but the fact that so many Siberian Huskies end up in shelters just baffles me.
(along with so many other pets)

I was contacted by a blogging friend of mine, which i'm sure most of you know, Linda from the blog Savannah's Paw Tracks.
This woman does so much for animals in need. I applaud her and look up to her for all she does.

So when Linda contacted me about some huskies in need, I knew I had to jump on the opportunity to help however I can.
The first husky in need, was a beautiful boy named Cash.

Cash had to have his body shaved due to his coat being extremely matted, flea bitten and sunburned. However there has been some great news about Cash. As far as I have been told, he has found a new mommy!!!!!!

Way to go Cash, you deserve to be loved pal!

These next two have not been so lucky yet.

Meet Snowflake :

This beautiful girl is currently being housed at a KILL shelter!
Snowflake is definitely one gorgeous Siberian Husky, and I hope and KNOW that there is a home out there for her somewhere that a human can give her the love she deserves, and not ditch her when they are done with her.

Meet Hutch :

Hutch is a gorgeous male Siberian Husky.
He has such amazing markings, and so much love to give. He just needs a family to give it back to him.

Meet "Puppy no name"

Yep...Puppy no name.
This poor girl doesn't even have her own name yet.
This girl needs some love, and a fur-ever home that will cherish her the way she deserves.

Now, this is where you come in.
Today, I am asking for your help.
I have created these flyers that you see above, to make it easier for us to share on our social networks.
Please share these flyers on any of your networks, or even your blogs. Join Savannah's Paw Tracks and myself, and help us find these beauties a home!

These pups are located in Northern California.
You can find their contact info in the above flyers.

>>>>>Millions of animals across the world are in the same situation as these huskies, some are even in much much worse condition. Even the smallest bit of help, is still help, and remember :
We CAN make a difference!

  4. This is heartbreaking. I hate seeing any animal in a shelter, let along a kill shelter. Isn't there a husky rescue in northern CA? I'm trying to remember from when we lived over there. I'll look for my paperwork. Normally, those rescues can pull dogs from kill shelters (as long as they have the space). I'll be sharing and keeping my paws crossed for these babies!

  5. It breaks my heart as well each day to see so many Sibes in need. We crosspost on FB and Twitter as much as we can. In the past, I have been a foster, but I'm unable to foster at this time. If possible, I would have a huge farm with all kinds of doggies running free, happy, and loved.

Praying for all the doggies in shelters everywhere.

    1. I know! It is my dream to have acres and acres of land, so I can help animals in need. Fostering them, or keeping them. If I could, I would!

  10. We will share. But we think just like the posting you did last week, so many people don't do their work on what breed is best for them and then they get a dog and can't handle the dog. So they end up in shelters. IT's so sad.

    1. That is exactly right! People need to do their research, and make sure the breed fits their life. When they don't this is why this happens. It's not fair!

  11. I'm so glad that Cash has at least found a home, and I shared the others. It's so sad there are so many homeless pets....it's great of you to share these and try to spread the word. I hope it gets seen by the right people and they all have homes soon.

All it takes is one right person to see their pic, and be able to at the very least, provide a foster home for them!

  19. Oh wow, such beautiful dogs. I'm happy Cash found a home, but I feel so bad that he had to be shaved down! He looks so thin. Since they are in a shelter that isn't "no kill", perhaps a Sibe rescue will come forth to help. That might be their best option. I will share this!
