Dog lives after falling into hot tar pit

Hiya everyone.
We are here, back at the beginning of the week.
Most of us say a big fat "UGH!" to that.
But Monday's don't always have to be miserable.

Allow me to attempt to bring you a Monday morning smile :-)

Today's "Oh My Dog!" post may not start out very pleasant, but it truly has a miracle of a happy ending, so please stay tuned.

A 5 month old puppy was wondering the streets of India, when he came across a construction site.
On the property of the site was a hot tar pit.

So if we put two and two together, we can guess the rest of the story. . .

The 5 month old pup became trapped in the hot tar pit, and was found basically frozen and mummified to the ground, completely unable to move.

A team of rescuers got together in attempts to save this pup.
They did not know how the outcome would happen . . . .

*warning*
This video is heart wrenching. Completely your choice to watch it or not, but keep in mind, this is a very happy ending.

For those of you who chose not to watch, here is a summary :

A group of wonderful people, brought a bowl of vegetable oil, and began rubbing the tar off of the pup.
This took hours!
You can just see in his eyes how thankful he is.
After their painstaking work at removing most of the tar, the pup was then taken to an emergency vet, where they continued the process, and got him all squeaky clean.

"After Photo"

This photo shows the pup well on his way to recovery from the trauma he experienced.
He is making a FULL recovery, and will then be put up for adoption, where he can have the love he deserves.

I would like to personally thank each one of those rescue volunteers for dedicating their time to save this young pups life. The world would be a better place if we had more people like you!

That's all for now, and thanks for stopping by!
