Auction time! Supporting K-9 Epilepsy

Hiya everyone!
Welcome to another edition of Siberian Saturday!
This is my fav day of the week, because I get to talk ALL THINGS HUSKY!

Remember these beautiful huskies?

No?
These are the huskies from the blog Five Sibes Mom.
(in sepia)

These gorgeous Siberians and their mom, would like to share an event with you.
Of course I was more than happy to share about such a great cause.

This beautiful boy is Gibson.
He is one of the five sibes.
Gib is an Epi-Dog.
A spokesdoggie for k-9 Epilepsy.

Why?

Gibson has k-9 Epilepsy. He is an inspiration to many, and his story and advice truly helps other paw-rents and dogs who are also dealing with epilepsy.

So, you might be wondering why I have brought all this up.

I am happy to inform you of the very first #LiveGibStrong k-9 epilepsy awareness online auction!

The auction starts on November 1st and ends November 15th.
Not only will you be shopping...but you will be shopping for fabulous items which have been donated, all the while, supporting a great cause!
Profits from this auction will benefit
www.canine-epilepsy.com, as well as,
The Wally Foundation - Canine Epilepsy.

PLUS - I have been informed that there are already some really great items available!!
If you would like to check out the auction, click <here>

Normally on Siberian Saturdays, I do a fun husky tip, or fact.
In case you came by just for that, I won't let you down!

Did you know, that a husky puppy can change color and appearance very much before they reach adulthood?

No?

Well, stay tuned for next weeks Siberian Saturday to find out more! ;-)

Thanks for coming by everyone, have a great weekend, and i'll see you Monday!

This weeks featured FAV!

As always, this post was part of the Sepia Saturday blog hop.

  1. sounds like a great Auction,My first Bunny had epilepsy not common in rabbits, but he had meds for it but in the end he had a big seizure and never came out of it properly though he tried fought to the very end that one, hardest thing I ever did was to hold him while he was helped to cross over.Makes me cry every time I talk about it.No fear in him either a real tough one he was used to chase cats out of the garden,xx Rachel

  3. What a great cause! Our golden Moses didn't have epilepsy per se, but he had occasional seizures so I know how scary they can be. I hope this auction does well, and I'm going to check out what they have. You can usually get some good bargains at auctions as well as helping a good cause like this!

I have never dealt with epilepsy before, so I can't even imagine how scary it must be.

  7. They really have a lot of great items and not just for Huskies. I hope they do fantastic. I read a post yesterday on Pet Parade ( http://savannahspawtracks.com/2014/10/17/what-challenges-face-adult-rescue-dogs-update-on-cash-the-siberian-husky/ ) about a rescue that had been left outside without any shelter. His hair had turned red. In his new loving forever home, he had to be shaved and the hair is growing back its original black!

  12. Thanks for letting us know about this auction for a great cause! Will definitely share. And we do know how much a Huskies look can change as they age! Isis looks SO different than she did as a puppy; it shocked us to realize that when we looked @ some old pics of her! LOL!
