7 safe foods for your dog this thanksgiving

Hiya everyone!
Thursday is a great day.

Know why?

It means that our week has almost come to a close!
Do you have any plans for the weekend?

Here in Canada, we are gearing up for Thanksgiving, which is right around the corner.
October 13th to be exact.
I have even changed up the look of our blog, to go with the upcoming holiday, and the fall season, so I hope you all like it?

I love Thanksgiving.
For me, it is a time when my family gets together, and has a wonderful dinner, and lots of laughs together.
But, we can't forget our 4 legged family members either.

I like to involve my huskies in Thanksgiving and any other holidays that come our way.
However, there are also dangers that come with holiday feasts.

Some foods can be very toxic to dogs, and it is our job as paw-rents to know the difference in those foods.
I have created a list after doing tons of research on the subject.

7 foods that are safe for your dog -
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Raw Apple Slices
  • Steamed Carrots
  • Steamed Broccoli
  • Plain white turkey ; without skin and bones.
  • pumpkin
  • salt fee chicken broth

7 foods NOT to feed your dog -
  • cooked meat with bones in it
  • Mushrooms
  • Onions
  • Fat trimmings
  • Garlic
  • Avocado
  • chocolate

So, if your like me, you feel that your dogs should be able to have a share of the Thanksgiving dinner too.
With this list, we can easily create a pet safe holiday meal for our fur babies.

Last week, I decided to start featuring one item per week out of our Pawz 'N' Clawz store.
It is time to post a new feature.
This week I chose :

Our Labrador Retriever Bracelet.
I absolutely love this piece. I love the multi colored beads, and I think with the colors, it is paw-fect for the fall season. With our current price slash, this bracelet is just $11.00!! Marked down $2.00 from the original price!

In cased you missed our newest program through Pawz 'N' Clawz, we have now dedicated a portion of our proceeds to shelters in need. For details on our program, visit our store - HERE.
