A sad day in the blogging community

Today we are taking part in a couple different things.
The first is the Wordless Wednesday blog hop.
Hosted by none other than BlogPaws.

I have a few extra words today though, so I apologize in advance.

Now, every Wednesday I share my weekly graphics, which I create in my husky group on FB.
So, before I move on to the next part of my post, I will share the latest graphic I made in honor of National Dog Week. (last week)

"Dogs are our link to paradise.
They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent.
To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring - - it was peace."

~Milan Kundera

Now . . . it is with a heavy heart that I make this announcement.
Today is a very sad day in our blogging community.
Yesterday we all learned of the passing of a dear friend and fellow blogger ;
 Dr. Lorie Huston.

Lorie was an animal advocate, a vet, a beautiful person inside and out. She has done so many great things in the pet world as well as the blogging world. She will be so dearly missed.
I would like to send my condolences to Lorie's family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this indescribably hard time.
I didn't know her well. But I have been a follower of hers for some time now, and have had the pleasure of talking to her a few times. She truly was an inspiring woman.
xx

Now, the thing is, Lorie had 5 kitties. These kitties now need our help.

4 males and 2 females. Ranging in ages from 2 to 6 years old.
These kitties need a home. They are located in Providence Rhode Island, for anyone who may be able to help out, please contact dustycatwriter@pobox.com

Thanks for spending part of your day with us.
See you tomorrow.
