Go purple this month for K9 Epilepsy

November is K9 Epilepsy awareness month.
Today for the Pet Parade, we have gone purple.

So many pets across the world suffer from epilepsy.
Let's face it, it is a scary thing!

I recently participated in an campaign that the Five Sibes Mom is hosting called The Purple Pumpkin Project. She began this for people to get together and show our support for pets with epilepsy.

This was our entry to the project.

Another way you can help support K9 Epilepsy is to head over and check out the K9 Epilepsy auction which is currently being held, however it ends on the 15th of this month, so hurry!

Visit Five Sibes FB page for details.

For Flashback Friday's, I simply HAVE to share this collage from last winter.
We are flashing back a lot to last winter, since today . . .
wait for it . . .

We got our first REAL snowfall!!

More on that in a moment, first, take a look at huskies doing what they do best!

Soon enough!!

AND, of course, we had 3 happy huskies when they found out snow was falling!
Check out this short video of Koda I took today :

My happy boy!

That's all for today, thanks for spending part of your Friday with us!

Yes my huskies were in heaven! There isn't much, just a light coating of white, but soon we should be covered if it snows again this weekend!! Thank you for promoting the campaign, I really appreciate it!

  5. Wow, snow already!? We finally just dropped below 80 degrees here in Phoenix! We'll have to travel up North to see snow - Isis can't wait! Canine Epilepsy is so scary. I'm glad awareness is being raised this month.

    1. Yea, we should have lots of snow here soon! Paws crossed! Epilepsy is such a scary thing, for humans and for pets. I have never had to deal with it, and I couldn't even imagine!

  6. Epilepsy is scary and serious for dogs and children alike. Thanks for raising awareness. We put a lot of effort into helping our daughter understand that her epilepsy was nothing to be ashamed of. That's not an issue for dogs but seizures are still really scary.

    1. Nothing to be ashamed of at all! Such a scary thing, and for children and pets, they just don't understand what exactly is happening, which makes it more scary for them, and us to watch :(

  7. It's in the high 20s here and that is plenty cold enough but thankfully we're not a big snow area. We are glad it's snowing there, though, since you guys obviously enjoy it. :)

  11. We had some snow, too, and that's our flashback as well! We were all inspired by the fluffy white stuff...when you have snow dogs, it's quite the excitement, isn't it? Thanks so much Jenna for your great post and sharing our #LiveGibStrong K-9 Epilepsy Awareness auction & for your continued support of our Canine Epilepsy awareness campaign! It's so important - and for anyone who is just going through this, they are not alone! And thanks for sharing our auction - we are SO excited about it - it does come to a close tomorrow (November 15), so hopefully folks will get those last minute (holiday shopping) bids in and know that the winners bids are donations to two fantastic Canine Epilepsy support organizations - Canine Epilepsy Resources Epil-K9 Foundation's "Emma's Seizure Fund" through the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine ~AND~ The Wally Foundation~Canine Epilepsy. Winning bids become gifts that give back and help Epi-dogs everywhere! Thank you again for your constant support! We so appreciate it! Husky Hugs!
