#WeRemember - We shall not forget
Today, November 11th is a day to honor our soldiers.
The men, woman, and 4 legged soldiers, who fought for us, and continue to fight for us.
Today is Remembrance Day here in Canada.
Today Canada comes together, as a nation, to honor our heroes.
The poem which was written by John McCrae in 1915 still, and always will hold such great meaning.
"In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place ; and in the sky
The larks still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch ; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields."
- John McCrae
Today, and every other day, we remember.
We shall not forget.
