A dogs day in paradise

Happy Monday everyone!
We have a fabulous OMD story today to bring a smile to your morning. Although it may not start out the best, destiny calls and creates it's own happy ending.

Meet Susie :

dog rescue

When Susie was a pup, she suffered horrid abuse from her owners.
She was eventually found with burns all over her body. She had been left for dead.

Interesting enough, somewhere in the world, a woman named Donna was having some life struggles of her own. It turned out to be fate that Susie and Donna were meant to be together.

You see, 10 months before Susie and Donna met, Donna had been viciously attacked by a neighbors dog. This resulted in 50 stitches, as well as a heart breaking miscarriage.
Donna was terrified of dogs. And with good reason too.
She had suffered nightmares. PTSD to the point where she would shake uncontrollably at the thought of a dog.

When Donna caught wind of Susie the dog and heard her story, she learned of the abuse and suffering she had been through at the hands of humans. Donna then realized, this dog is working so hard at loving humans again after all they put her through, why couldn't she do the same with her dog fear?

Needless to say, Donna was now Susie's new mom.

I would like to give a huge shout out to barkpost.com for what they did for Susie and her new mom.
They created a "Dogs Best Day" paradise trip for the two, that they will not soon forget!

If you would like to see more of their special surprise day, please check out this video!
If this doesn't bring a smile to your Monday, nothing will.

That's all for now. Thank you Barkpost.com for the photos and wonderful story about Susie and her new mom, Donna. We wish you both a very happy life together!

  1. What a cool and interesting story! Who would have thought she would have adopted a dog after that. I'm sure she's glad that she did though.

  2. What a tragic yet wonderful story! Thinking of you guys as the Beargrease dog sled marathon started yesterday in northern MN. You can qualify for the Iditarod if you do well on it. Lots of huskies out there.
