Shelter Dogs Can Perform Miracles

Let's face it, dogs are amazing animals.
If you have been a follower of my OMD Monday posts, you will have learned numerous different different ways dogs have saved human beings.
Today's story is no different.
Who really knows what a shelter dog has been through. Who really knows exactly what may have happened in their past or what kind of humans they may have encountered. One California man quickly learned just one month after adopting a Bernese Mountain Dog that his new fur-baby was certainly capable of performing a miracle.

It was just a normal day at the beach. A man and his dog went to catch some waves while soaking up the sun. But this day was no ordinary day. Despite the signs of rough waves, and strong currents, a few people were swimming and happened to get caught in a current. They were going to drown. The first cry of help he heard, this 3 year old dog rushed out into the water, with his human yelling to the people in the water, "grab on to the dog!" The dog got them back to shore safely.

When the California man was interviewed, he had stated this dog had just been adopted into his family one month ago. Little did he know his new 4 legged friend would literally save the lives of a few strangers caught in an ocean current. Take a look at this short video to get the whole story and meet this miracle shelter dog!

There is nothing I love more than a happy ending!
