A Day In The Life Of A Working Breed - Take Your Dog To Work Day

Today marks the 2015 take your dog to work day. I sort of lucked out on this one because I work from home, so my huskies come to "work" with me every day! I am a stay at home mom/pet blogger/jewelry sales person. I consider myself extremely lucky that I am able to be at home with my family every day. So what is it like in the day of the life of a working breed? Well, they start their day by wiping their wet noses all over my face in the morning. If that doesn't wake me up, I usually find a couple huskies standing over top of me on my bed. Now we're up and out of the bedroom, coffee pot goes on first...always first! Next comes bathroom breaks, rushing outside to get those morning pees out of the way. Now, with a nice cup of coffee (for me, not them) we sit down and open up the laptop. Time to get to work!

Lexus begins by heading straight to our blog to answer the comments we received overnight and early morning. We spend a little while double checking a few things on the site, before moving on to the next bit of the morning.

When it comes time to go into our emails and begin visiting our favorite blogs, and commenting, Lexus turns to me for help. This can be a little overwhelming for the huskies to work on. So that's where I come in. Who could resist those baby blues looking up at you like that?

Now that the dogs have had a break, the work continues. Time to head back to the blog to answer more comments, and then go into our different social media accounts. They love this part because they get to see what all of our friends are up to that day. SO as you can see, a day in the life of these pups is always full! All work, no play, that's the way we run our day!

Nahhhh, who am I kidding?!
Now how about the REAL day in the life of my huskies??

That's more like it! Lots of relaxation, chair lounging (and chair thieving) and of course a day filled with play! While I am plugging away on the computer, this bunch is always having fun. Of course we can include the breaks I take to play with them. :)

The Sibe Tribe would love to know:
Did you take your dog to work today?

Before you go....I have a confession to make.
I am officially a bad husky mama! I missed my girls birthday a couple days ago. Mika turned 6 years old, and I am late to celebrate!! I feel like a big pile of poop! At any rate, I would like to wish my girl a very happy 6'th birthday!! We will be celebrating this weekend.

In honor of my sweet Mika. She is also this weeks Flashback Friday Photo:

Please forgive the poor photo quality. This was taken years ago, and is one of the very first photos I took of Mika after we adopted her.

  1. Mom "works" from home, but since her work is taking care of the grandbipeds, she says it is more like a treat to her. We will enjoy our "take your dog to work day" with lots of fun and hopefully some treats.

    Happy Belated Birthday, Mika.

  12. Happy Belated Birthday, Mika! You know I can't say anything about forgetting birthdays!
I work at home two days per week, and the other 3 days I only work 6 hours each, so I am home with the dogs quite a bit. When I'm on the computer they are lounging too, and then we always take breaks to go outside and play!

  14. Hi Y’all!

I'm at work with both my Humans everyday unless they have meetings somewhere else.

My Human thinks movin' a blog, especially a long established one, is akin to movin' into a different house. It takes awhile to get everything unpacked and put away and even longer to remember where everything is.

Check us out at our new home http://www.browndogcbr.net.

Our theme is still changing periodically as we try to select one that works the best for us and you, our readers.

    Y’all come on by,
    Hawk aka BrownDog
