A Happy Ending For A Well Deserving Pup

ASPCA rescues puppy thrown in trash chute

Meet Frankie. He is a tiny Yorkshire Terrier who has been given a second chance at love and life. According to the ASPCA Frankie was thrown down a trash chute at a New York Apartment building. Of course, the tiny pup suffered fractures, trauma and it nearly blinded him, but that wasn't the end of Frankie. He was brought in by NYPD to the ASPCA Animal Hospital where he began to receive the help he so badly needed.

A few months later, a lady named Rose came by the ASPCA for a visit and had met Frankie. It didn't take long before she fell in love with him. I mean, who couldn't? Look at the little guy! Rose returned one month later to adopt the tiny pup.

Since Frankie is partially blind, it took a lot of extra care and work for Rose to help him fit into his new surroundings. But she did a fantastic job. I am happy to announce that Frankie is now doing wonderfully in his new home with Rose. His favorite activities include chewing, well, everything, and playing games with his treats. In the photo to your left you can see Frankie with his new mama. Such a fabulous pair!

I couldn't be happier to read such a happy ending to a little pup who just wasn't wanted. I will never in my life begin to be able to understand how or why someone could throw a little puppy (4 lbs) down a trash chute....cold, cruel, and just plain wrong. I am so glad Frankie found the love he deserved, and very thankful to the ASPCA for them wonderful rescue work.

    1. I know...I do try to only post stories like this when they have a happy ending. Although there are so so many pups out there in situations like these, which don't have such a happy endings. All we can do, is our best to try and help these pups. So glad Frankie got the help he needed.

  6. What a sweet one. The person/people responsible for his awful beginnings hardly classes as (a) person/people. It shocks me at how cruel the world can be at times. This poor pup, but so glad he had such a happy ending! He looks so happy and secure with Rose!! Lovely to see him with his new, caring owner in a new and happy forever home.

  9. I'm baaack!!! I have missed visiting you and will try to catch up with what I have missed. Being ultra cautious(paranoid), I only connected to hotel wi-fi for the amount of time it took to post a blog each night! I'm so happy for this little guy. ♥

  10. I'm so glad that Frankie found someone to love him like he deserves to be loved! I hate it when people just throw animals away. They are living beings with needs and feelings! You would think the least that you could do is to hand off your pet to someone who can care for it.
