Cooling Jackets For Dogs - Keeping It Cool With Coats Made By De

Cooling Jackets For Dogs
I get asked a lot, how on earth I manage to keep my huskies cool in the summer time. People who are owned by huskies (if they did their research) knows never to shave them, so how do you keep them cool? You could start with these
8 tips on keeping your husky cool, and then you can continue to add to that list with these gorgeous Cooling Coats Made by De. Of course you don't have to be a husky to need tips on staying cool in the heat, so pups of all breeds, perk up your ears and check this company out!

Cooling Jackets For Dogs
Recently, I won a giveaway over at Zoe and Phee's blog for one cooling coat. THEN, I won another giveaway from the same company on their Instagram page! I ended up with 2 cooling coats and a cooling collar, all from Coats Made By De! So keep in mind this is not a review, it is just me, THRILLED with a product I am happy to have discovered!

What exactly are cooling coats, and how do they work?

These particular cooling coats are tailor made to fit your dog, which to me was a huge bonus. There is nothing I dislike more than ordering something for my huskies, only to have it not fit. When you order a coat from Coats Made By De, they have a chart you can follow which helps you take exact measurements of your dog, so you can have no worries about the proper fit.

How do they work?

It's all in the material. Basically, you soak the coat with cool water, ring it out, and put it on your dog when it's hot out. The material they use holds the water for HOURS! I had a great chance to test that theory on the weekend long dog event we just went to. It was hot....like, SUPER hot, and I had Lexus with me, and her cooling coat. I only had to wet it one time during the entire day, and every time I lifted her coat up to check if it needed some more water, it was still cool to the touch. It kept my Lexus feeling comfortable all weekend. I was not disappointed. The best part is that they don't make your dogs fur all wet either. They just absorb the water, and transfer the coolness to your dogs body.

The collars work the same way. Same material on the underside, and it just goes around their neck to help keep them cool. The cooling coat items you see on my blog today are not only one version you can get. I chose the "Blingy Dog Cool Coats," but if your looking for something a little less eye catching, there are many to choose from. PLUS, Coats Made By De has much more to offer besides cooling coats! Everything from winter coats and rain coats, all the way to adorable doggie pajamas. Guaranteed you will find something you like after browsing the website!

I couldn't end this post without sharing this photo of Lexus. She was posing in her cooling coat, and she had the BIGGEST smile on her face that I have ever seen! She looks like a big ol' goof ball, and I love it!

  7. Fun video....those two look very cute and stylish together! I love the colors you chose, and I also love the cooling collar. These sound like great products, and I need to check out her other stuff as well. I'm always thinking about rain coats too.
I love that the sizes are custom. Luke is so slim that sometimes he just doesn't fit into standard sizes.

    1. I know!!!! I have the same problem with Koda. He is just two years old now, and is still a bit lanky in that overgrown puppy sort of shape, so it can be a chore finding things that fit!!! I know you will find something you love on their site!!

  10. Wow, you were so lucky to Win twice! These cooling coats are gorgeous, I could have really used one last weekend when it was super hot & humid and we had an outdoor event; I couldn't take the dogs because of the heat. Very nice.

  12. Interesting that you mention the cooling coats. I purchased something similar for myself and it does help. Now I live in FL so nothing will keep you truly cool outside in the summer, but the cooling ties (headbands) keep the moisture away and do keep it 'cooler'. (that's a relative term to use in FL though)
