Dogs Speak To Those Who Listen

It's funny, because I often find myself having a conversation with 'the man of the house' about what the dogs are saying to us, and what they are trying to communicate. I am confident I know exactly what they are saying at least 90% of the time - but then again, my huskies aren't very shy about telling me what they want!

I really love this quote, and it's meaning, so of course....I made it into a graphic!

Dogs Do Speak - quote

"Dogs do speak,
but only to those that know how to listen."

~ Orhan Pamuk

  1. Hi Y'all!

My Human Papa is better at listening than my Human Mama. Sometimes he has to tell her what I want. She gets too busy working and shuts out the rest of the world around her!

    Y'all come on by,

  2. There was a big nose work person in town last weekend and one quote from him everyone has been talking about is when he said dogs are like a five year old child in a KMart who talks non-stop about everything he sees. Dogs just don't talk, but they are constantly telling us about all the things they detect in their environment using their own body language.

  11. I love the quote and the graphic. I believe I know what my dogs are thinking a lot of the time, I think the more time we spend with them, the more in tune with them we are. For that reason, I think I understand them better than my hubby, because I'm with them so much more.

    1. That's exactly how I feel. I am with them all day every day, so it becomes easy to pick up on exactly what they are wanting, thinking, or whatever the case may be.

  12. That is a great quote! I know exactly what you are saying. Sometimes we are so busy talking, we don't take time to understand what is being said to us. It is always a good idea to take a few moments and just take things in. :)
