Surf & Turf Salmon Skin For Dogs

Surf & Turf Salmon Skin For Dogs
I am always on the hunt for different natural, healthy treats to feed my dogs. A week or so ago, when I took Koda on his day out at Petsmart, we picked up a package of Surf & Turf treats. The bag came with Bully Straps, and Alaskan Sockeye Salmon skins. This was the first time I have had any sort of salmon treats for the huskies, so I was interested to see if they would like them or not. I opened the bag, and WOW, do they stink!!! But I know my pups, and the smellier, the better! If you take a peek at the photo to the left, you can clearly see the anticipation on Mika's face when I held the salmon skin up for a photo shoot.

Benefits of salmon skin for dogs:

  1. 100% Natural
  2. Rich in Omega 3 and 6
  3. High in protein, low in fat
  4. No additives or preservatives
  5. Vitamins A, C, B6, Potassium
  6. And the dogs LOVE them!

Koda had pretty much the same look on his face as Mika did when I pulled out the salmon.

I think the smell mostly got their attention, I was surprised we didn't have dogs running into our yard from all around the block trying to get at these treats!

I was happy to see that these were not treats that would be gone in a matter of seconds. They had a good thick texture, so the dogs had to work at chewing them.

The Huskies were all wet from playing in the kiddie pool, so it was a perfect time to have a snack break and an energy boost for more playtime!

That's all I have for you today guys, thanks so much for coming by to spend part of your Friday with us.

  2. I bet we would go all wild for those too, but knowing my mom, she wouldn't allow them near us, let alone touch them herself. She is not good with fish items.Enjoy! Do you all have shinier furs now too?

  8. I love salmon myself, it's so healthy! Great for all the fatty essential oils. That should help dogs coats stay shiny and healthy too.

    1. Hmmmm, good point! I'm not sure you would be able to have the entire piece as they are pretty big, but maybe cut up into small chunks?

  14. It's true, the stinkier the better! I've noticed all fishy treats make my humans wrinkle their noses and close the bag quick. Those look really yummy. Your pal, Toby of Terra Toby
