Koda loves truck rides, and is always one happy, smiling pup when we go anywhere that involves getting into a vehicle.
Once we got there, the employees at Petsmart just loved Koda. Everyone was fascinated with his eyes. Of course, there was one dog there who was causing trouble, barking like mad, and trying to get over to Koda and play. I kept him away though, as he is still healing from his surgery. After we made our way through the first couple isles (away from "crazy dog") he went straight for the toys!
He wasn't too interested in the stuffed toys. Those are Mika's favorites, but not him...
He went straight for the rope toys. He loves playing with ropes, but we didn't purchase one of these as we still have our durable handmade rope toys from DBDT, and he plays with them daily!
After he realized I wasn't buying him the ropes, he was off to the Kong section. He picked out a fabulous Wubba Kong toy that was mama approved!
By the time we were ready to go, the hundred dollars was spent and Koda came out strutting his spoiled self through the parking lot. One thing I noticed - it is really hard to buy things for a dog who already has everything! And i'm truly not meaning to brag or anything like that, but, I mean, it was kind of funny. Everything "the man" kept picking up to say we should get this, my answer was, "nope, he already has that!" We actually paced up and down the aisles for quite some time before figuring out what to purchase. You can never have enough Greenie, so that was first on the list, then we picked out some surf and turf fish treats, bully sticks, toys AND my favorite buy of the day.....a slow feeder bowl.
You guys, I can not even begin to tell you how much I love this bowl! Koda is a bit of a piggy when it comes to dinner time, and I have been meaning to pick one of these bad boys up for a while now. MAN, am I glad I did! The difference was phenomenal! It is hazardous to a dog's health when they gobble food too fast (which I will explain more in an upcoming post) so I was thrilled with the difference just one bowl actually made!
And not to worry, the other huskies got to enjoy everything we bought as well. Mika really loves the wubba toy!
They all had a blast gnawing away on the Bully Sticks too!
Bully sticks, are very healthy for dogs, and great for their teeth as well! Needless to say, the whole day was a success! I got a chance to spoil my huskies, and go shopping all in one day! That's it for now, thanks for coming by, and I hope to see you again tomorrow!
