I've Got 99 Problems... But My Husky Ain't One

I've Got 99 Problems... But My Husky Ain't One

I may have my fair share of problems... but there's one thing I can say for sure, and that's the fact that my huskies are definitely not one of them!

Sure, I have a touch of anxiety when my daughters teacher informs me they accidentally put her on a bus, and couldn't find her on her first day of Kindergarten. Sure, I worry too much about.... everything! Sure, I may not have the cleanest house, or live in the best area, BUT my family, my pack, is everything to me.

If there is one thing I can say, it's that I am thankful for my Huskies. Yesterday I was home, worrying about the first day of school, just literally counting down the hours of the day, and my pups knew I wasn't myself. They wouldn't leave my side, they snuggled, licked, played, and did what they could to keep my mind off of things. It's fascinating how intelligent they are, and they just never cease to amaze me.

My Siberian Husky, the window watcher

Koda was funny too, because on and off throughout the day, he would just sit in his window and stare. I know he was wondering where the mini humans were, and he was the first one jumping up at the door when we brought them home at the end of the day. Dogs can just sense things, and they know when their humans need them the most. So among my 99 problems... My Huskies ain't one of them! Hope you enjoyed my own 'dog-i-fied' reference to the popular song "99 Problems" by Jay Z, and come on back tomorrow for a couple super fun blog hops!

  1. Absolutely! The girls always pick up on my moods...happy, sad, whatever...they always know!! Very intuitive. I am so glad they found your daughter!

  2. Mom loves us to death, and we always comfort her and help her out, but each of us cause her to worry for certain reasons. She worries about Katie because she is old and has so many issues, she worries about Bailie because she keeps destroying things when left home out of her kennel, and she worries about me with other dogs in small spaces, but at the same time, we are fun challenges for her. Hope your daughter is getting settled into the school routine and things are going better than on the first day for both of you.

    1. I agree, my huskies come with their share of worries as well. Koda used to be horrible for destroying the house when left un-crated, but for the past few months we tried again and he basically leaves everything alone unless there is a dish with food on it sitting on the counter.

The school routine has been hard, but we will get there. :)

  7. The boys are very responsive to our moods. Just one more reason they are such awesome companions. *When I worked at the elementary school, I had "Bus Duty." For the first week, grades k thru 2nd wore tags with their bus number or parent pick-up on their uniforms. It helped avoid these problems. ♥

  9. Our pets are always there for us when we need them. I wouldn't like to imagine how my mom would have felt should something like that happened when I was in school years ago. Very glad everything is alright!

  11. I'm so glad you had them to help you through the tough day! Luke especially knows when I'm upset and always comes to comfort me.
I am a worrier like you...I'm not sure I would have survived having children...I might have worried myself to death. LOL...the dogs give me enough worry when they aren't well, but at least they stay home most of the time!
