When The Kids Are Away, The Dogs Sleep All Day

I have to be honest, I wasn't really sure what to post today. As we speak, my 2 daughters are at their first day of school. My oldest daughter is in grade 7 this year, so she pretty much has the whole 'back to school' thing down, BUT my little one has just started Kindergarten this year. I admit, I am having a hard time letting go. I have been a stay at home mom with her since she was born, and I am just not ready to let that go yet. So, as you are reading this, I am most likely staring at the clock, biting my nails, waiting for the day to go by so I can go pick her up...

What are my huskies doing today?

Sleeping the day away. It will take some time to get in the schedule of things, but we will do our best!.I plan on taking the dogs for a nice long walk, keeping as busy as I can, and being at the school with bells on to pick up my girls at the end of the day!

That's it for me, come on back tomorrow for this weeks graphic creation on Wordless Wednesday.

  1. Best of luck to your kids on their first day of school. I bet you think you will have all this free time during the day. I wonder how that will work....lol.

  2. I'm sure you will all adjust to the new routine in a few days. Enjoy the quiet time to do fun things for yourself.

  3. It is pretty weird when you have the house to yourself and the kids are all in school. Luckily the pups are ready at a moments notice to take a walk or do some fun activities with you. They are always there when you need them. :)

  4. You are lucky that you get to be home to pick them up and can share these wonderful experiences with them! I know you are just heartbroken about your little one starting kindergarten, but you have so much fun ahead! (which you know better than I do!!!) Wishing your kids (and YOU, Mom!) the best of luck this school year! xoxo

  5. It is much harder on you than it is on your baby girl. I remember those days so well. Good luck and here is something that you need...{{HUG}}

  6. Awwww, we hate the back to school thing. We wait all day long for our sisters to get back home! ;)

  7. I remember those days. Then we moved on to the next change, and the next one. All stages have something great and important in them.

  8. Oh, that must be tough! Is Kindergarten a full day, or just a half day? It's a good thing you also have your furry family to keep you busy!

    1. Ah, it's a FULL day now! It used to be half days and/or every other day, but now full day every day! In my opinion, it's just too much.

    2. It does seem like a lot. Probably so many kids go to pre-school these days they think they're ready for a full day by kindergarten.

    3. I know, and sure, maybe the ones who go to pre school might be more ready than others, but what about the ones who have never been? I just wish it was still the way it was :(

  9. Ah yes, the Momster says the first day of kindergarten for the youngest is the hardest day for Mom:) But have no fear, you will be amazed at how fast the day goes by. Just think of all the wonderful things she will have to share with you. Enjoy, they all grow up too fast.
