Can We Bring The Dog? #TravellingWithDogs During The Holidays

With the holidays, comes travelling... and lots of it. With travelling comes many things. Things like: heading out to see family, going to a holiday dinner, spending hours in the car, and unfortunately.... car accidents. As pet owners, when we travel during the holidays, we generally bring our pets with us. And why shouldn't we? After all, they are family too. Kurgo created a fabulous infographic, sharing some safety tips when travelling with dogs, as well as some other facts we should all be aware of. Please remember - if you are travelling with your dog (or any pet) this Christmas, safety always comes first.

  2. We are staying home this year, so no traveling for us. If we were going to my parents, yes, they would go too.

  5. Love that infographic! We don't travel with our dogs at this time, maybe some day when we have less of them and the thought is not so overwhelming! :)

  8. I love this infographic. And I am a firm believer in restraints in the car. Even though my two travel well, there's enough distractions on the road without adding them into the mix. Keeping them crated, with plenty of treats and toys, is just better all around.

  9. We think it's much easier to travel with dogs than cats. We don't travel well...and would prefer staying home.

  10. Not traveling for Christmas! The festivities only 15 minutes from the house, so the dogs will just stay home...lucky them. :p

  12. We don't travel for Christmas. Sometimes we stay at Gramma's house over the holiday, or we go along to my mom's brother's house, but with three of us and Katie not good at traveling anymore. We will be home.

  17. Wonderful Infographic, a great reminder to keep your pet safe in the car! It's not our driving I worry about, it's others on the road that don't pay attention or don't drive safely. I use a Kurgo travel harness for my dog, I was lucky enough to win it in one of the BlogPaws photo contests about a year ago or so! It's wonderful and gives me peace of mind.

  18. Some great information! I have my own cage in the car. I like to nap for most of the journey and just pop up every now and then to look out and see where we are. As soon as we stop I wake up right away ready for the fun to begin!
