Keeping Dogs Warm And Fashionable With #NorthFetch Athletics™

Picture this - you are heading out of the house on a chilly winter day. You know it's cold outside, so you have to dress warm, but you also want to look your best. The solution? Finding a comfy, warm, but also functional - winter jacket to go out in! And me? I want the same for my dogs. I am not one to let the cold weather hold me back from walking the dogs, so making sure they are warm, is essential.

Winter jackets for dogs

Being owned by 3 Siberian Huskies, you wouldn't think keeping them warm in the winter months would be difficult. On the contrary... here in Canada, it gets SO cold, even my Siberian "bred to be in the snow" huskies do not like staying outside when it's cold. Especially Lexus, the smallest of my pack. I normally have to keep her winter walks very short to prevent her from catching a bad case of the shivers! Don't get me wrong, she loves playing in the snow, but she gets cold rather quickly. This winter - thanks to North Fetch Athletics™, I am prepared!

What's so special about North Fetch Athletics dog gear?
North fetch uses material similar to what you will find in your own winter jacket. You can literally see and feel the quality when you hold one of these dog jackets.
See for yourself!

The Sibe Tribe's Favorite Features:

  • Fleece lining helps keep your dog cozy warm
  • Faux-down insulation
  • Comes equipped with harness/leash slot - for functional purposes
  • Adjustable Velcro for a snug fit
  • Machine washable - huge bonus for those pups who like to get down and dirty!
  • Storage pocket - convenient storage for poop bags, or whatever suits you.
  • Water resistant - this one is HUGE! Snow is wet, and a wet dog combined with cold winter weather = frozen pup-cicle
  • Both functional, and fashionable!

winter dog coats

Once Lexus tried on her new dog jacket from North fetch Athletics, she couldn't wait to get outside and test it out! We may not have snow yet, but the weather is below 0 and let me tell you... baby, it's cold outside!

keep dogs warm in winter

We went for a pretty long walk, and I have to be honest, I didn't see her shiver once! That made me super happy, because you could go out and buy the cutest, most adorable jacket on the market, but if it's not warm, what's the point? That's why I am in LOVE with North fetch! These jackets were inspired by human winter fashion, and designed to keep your dog warm, while keeping their fashion in check too!

zoomies

When Lexus and I set out for our warm walk in the cold weather (looking pretty darn stylish I might add) she couldn't resist taking off in a bad case of the zoomies! I think she was feeling pretty good in her new jacket, what do you think?

Finally back from our walk, and Lexus is still lookin' good, keeping warm, and nice and tired out!
Final thoughts? Me likes!!

  3. Oh, those jackets look like they will keep a dog very warm. I admit, I didn't think Huskies would need a "winter coat" considering they get their natural "winter coat" of fur which I thought was quite warm. Better to be warm and toasty while having fun int he snow though. Great review.

  4. Nice looking coat, but we don't wear coats. I've never seen a husky needing a coat before. As long as we are moving, we are plenty warm, even when it is below zero out.

    1. Thanks. And yep, she sure breaks the mold when it comes to typical husky behavior! Not really too sure why she gets cold quicker than the others, but she does, and I hate to see her shiver, so we are very thankful for North fetch Athletic dog coats!

  5. It gets cold where we live and there is no way Miss Cocoa will let me stay inside when she wants to run!! She gets really cold though because she is so thin so we need good sweaters and jackets. And waterproof is key!! Thank you for the review.

    1. Right?! It's funny because our weather has been so up and down lately. One day it feels like spring, the next day there is frost all over the place and it's freezing!!!!

  9. Your new coat looks warm and stylish. We older dogs got our first winter coat this year. They sure do feel good when it's cold and breezy.

  12. Those coats look very nice. We get cold temps in the winter but not enough to need to wear a coat. We did have one for Phantom for his last winter. Mom thinks he really did love wearing it as he was so thin. Can you send us some of that Canadian snow?

  13. That looks like a great coat! Even Cricket has declined to go outside and play on the really cold and wet days here, and that's unusual for her. I'm thinking we might have to get a jacket for her now too. She says if it's good enough for Lexus, it's good enough for her! :)

  15. I am surprised to read that your huskies need coats. Our Chessies are perfectly fine even in the coldest weather, (although we are careful that their paws don't get frostbite). At any rate, you won't need coats around here anytime soon since it is so warm. :)

    1. Just one of my huskies need one. Not sure why, but she prefers warm over cold, and gets the shivers when it's real cold! She loves her coats, and this #NorthFetch one is great!!
