Dogs Can Make New Year's Resolutions Too!

Yesterday, I shared the fact that rather than making New year's resolutions, I prefer to set goals for myself. I have never been one for the whole "resolution" thing, it's just not my scene... but that doesn't mean that my dogs don't have their own resolutions.

Dogs Can Make New Year's Resolutions Too!

For instance, Lexus seems to have made herself a resolution to start exercising on the Bowflex tread climber.

Dog New year's resolutions

I tried to tell her that she already looks fantastic, and is incredibly fit... but she just barked and howled at me. I assume she was telling me that she would like to keep herself fit and fantastic looking, which is why she made her resolution in the first place!

Dogs Can Make New Year's Resolutions Too!

After about 30 seconds of Bowflex... she laid down on the job! Well, that was short lived... and exactly why I don't make resolutions for myself!

Of course, this post was all in good fun, but the Sibe Tribe and I are curious to know:
If your dog/cat/pet had their own New Year's resolution, what do you think it would be?

I'm the same way. I don't make resolutions but I do set goals!

  2. We don't make resolutions either, but we do set goals and we usually accomplish most of them. I think either way, it really depends on how self motivated you are.

  8. We choose to make changes throughout the year and not by a date on the calendar. However, I do have some changes to make in 2016!

  9. Both Sydney and I have lost weight this year. Sydney's closer to her goal weight and has 9 pounds to go and I'm excited to see the changes in her behavior, activity level, and health when she gets there. I hope to report that she hit her goal weight in May or June 2016!!!!

Your dogs look great. I'm inspired!

  10. LOL...next thing you know she'll be hanging her collars and coats on that, just like the humans do when they give up on their resolutions! Luke resolves to be less fearful, Cricket resolves to be less obsessed, and Sheba resolves to be healthy. We'll be lucky if we get just one of those things! :)

  14. My bipeds set goals and when they get near to achieving them, they move the goalposts! It shows how silly bipeds can be!
