Interesting Weather For #WalkYourPetMonth

January is Walk Your Pet Month...

And let me tell you, it has been one heck of an interesting month.
Why? Well, considering I am pretty sure Canada must have broken some sort of record with our weather so far this winter. Perhaps Mother Nature and Jack Frost are having some sort of dispute this year, who knows. But either way, it has been strange! Some days we walk outside and it feels like a spring day in the middle of January, and some days have been beyond cold, but the thing that has really SUCKED this winter? Our lack of snow. I mean, sure we have had snow all winter, but NOTHING compared to our regular winters.

No matter what the weather, the huskies and I always find a way to have fun outside, and go on lots of adventurous walks.

How about you?
What sort of winter have you had?

Today is Friday, and that means it's time for us to co host a couple of fun bog hops!
For our Pet Parade blog hop, we are sharing #WalkYourPetMonth strange winter days in 2016.
The other blog hop we co host is Flashback Friday. Where we like to share a fun photo from the past, whether it is from a couple days ago, or years ago, any photo or memory will suffice!

Flashback Friday - my kids and my husky playing in the snow

This week, my Flashback photo if from the end of December, 2015. I absolutely love this memory, and I know it will stick with me for a long, long time! My daughters, the huskies and I, all had a blast playing in our first big snow fall of the year. We played outside for hours! Running up and down the snowbanks, building snowmen, snow angels, and playing snowball catch with Koda.

That's all for today, I sure hope you all have a great weekend, and if you would like to link up to either one (or both) of these hops, follow the linky lists below. XOOX

  1. They are so cute!! We've been having the strangest weather, too! We got a teeny tiny amount of snow here and it doesn't usually snow. We had an ice storm, too!

  2. I bet you and the Huskies love LOTS of snow to walk and romp in! We have had terrible weather for Walk Your Pet Month...so much rain, so much of the time.

  3. Love the Flashback Friday pic! Cute! We are having odd weather here, too. How about - ready for this - NO snow in upstate New York! Yep. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Not a flake! Crazy. Guess Mother Nature is on vacation!

  4. It is almost 60 here today. We really want that snow, but this nice weather means Mom takes us for extra long walks - hard to beat that.

    Happy weekend.

  5. I have seen several people in the north question the wisdom of having January be known as "Walk Your Dog" month. LOL! It has been really nice down here so we've been able to get out and walk most days. I love your flashback photo. ☺

  6. We have had the same hot/cold weather. One of our weather people described it at mother nature having hot flashes. We don't like it and want the cold to just stick around.

  7. It has definitely been a crazy winter and we are not impressed. Our snow is melting again and we have bare spots in the yard...and icy spots as well. We have only one strip of yard where we can safely play ball! We don't go on a lot of walks this time of year, but if we can't play in the yard, we'll have to start walking more.

  8. Mother Nature sure is fickle this Winter. Too little snow for our Canadian friends & pummeling the Northeastern U.S.? Weird. If you can get out the front door you can probably walk your dog!

  10. Our winter sure has been strange too. It's been cold...but no snow. And this weekend it's supposed to be warmer with rain. We wonder what February and March is gonna be like.

  11. It is going to be 45 next week and rain. I do not even know!!

  12. We're on the mild California coast, so just have some rain here and there between sunny days where you barely need a sweater. After a 4 year drought I'm loving the rain! I'd love to see some snow sometime soon, it's been a few years since I've made the trip. ~RascalandRocco

  13. Our weather has been a lot warmer than usual and not much snow. Not that I'm complaining because this weekend, we'll be in the 50's!

  14. California is finally getting some precipitation! Since we live in Central California our snow pics are usually from our cabin in Tahoe or going into one of the National parks like Sequoia. My sister's husky Skya LOVES the snow and often goes outside just to lay in it. Glad you are all getting some outdoor time!!

  15. It has been nuts here too. We have more mud than snow, but after the last couple of years, I am not complaining.
