Discover The Petcurean Difference

Choosing the right food for your pet can be a challenge. There are so many companies to choose from, so many flavors, grain free, not grain free, small breed, adult, puppy, and the list goes on. How are you suppose to know which food is the best for your pet?

For me, the first thing I do with a pet food is flip the bag over, and begin reading through the ingredients. When someone comes into our pet store, and asks which food I recommend, no matter what I tell them, I always make sure to let them know that doing your own research on pet food is the best thing you can do. You know your pet best, you know if they have a sensitivity, allergy or what have you. For that reason, it is important to learn what to look for in the ingredient list.

The second thing I do with pet food, is find out where it is made, and where the ingredients are sourced from. This is extremely important, as I always want to make sure I know exactly what my pet is eating, and the more local, the better.

Today, I would like to take some time to share the Petcurean difference.
Petcurean is a pet food I have discovered since opening our pet store. They are a Canadian company, and there is literally a food for every pet. What I mean by that, is Petcurean has a food line called Go! And in that line there are foods that help with very specific issues, or sensitivities.

Such as:

  • Allergies
  • Potato sensitivities
  • Weight management
  • Picky eaters
  • Dull Coat
  • LID (Limited Ingredient Diets) for pets that need just one source of protein
  • Tummy troubles
  • Hair-balls
And guys seriously... the list goes on. Like I said, there is a food for every pet, with every need. That is just one of the reasons I love Petcurean, aside from them being Canadian of course.

Petcurean is a trusted company for many reasons. One of which is the fact that also have a PhD in pet nutrition. They are an independent family owned company who genuinely cares about your pets needs.

Straight from The Petcurean website:

"Every Petcurean recipe is created using the highest quality, healthiest and most flavourful ingredients available. These are selected through a trusted network of farmers, ranchers and producers, who must meet or exceed our very stringent health, safety and quality criteria. Because we put pets first, we don’t use by-product meals, un-named meat meals or any ingredient from China."

Final thoughts -
When choosing a pet food for your 4 legged fur-iend, do as much research as you can. Learn what to look for in the ingredient list (which I will cover in an upcoming post) and where the ingredients are sourced from. Plus, taking the time to learn the story/background of a company is always a good idea as well. If you are Canadian, I would highly recommend checking out the Petcurean difference. You WILL see a difference in your pet in a short period of time. My huskies will vouch for that one!

**Side note - I was not provided any compensation for this post. I simply wanted to share my love of a company with my readers, and share what I have learned.

  1. You're so right, the ingredients list should always be the first thing you look at when choosing a pet food. Where those ingredients are sourced is very important as well. This company seems to really know the common concerns to address in Pet food. Thanks for the info!
