A Pup And His Child

A puppy and a child...
Seems like a perfect match right? Well this match I am about to share today just can't get any better. Ready for your Monday smile?

Today's letter in the #atozchallenge is W
W is for wonderful - like the story your about to read!!
A 3 year old toddler named Sapphyre was born without feet, or fingers. As a patient at Shriners Hospital for children, she had gone through many surgeries so that she could be properly fit for prosthetic feet. But that was not the only care she would be receiving...

A litter of German Shepherd puppies was born. Seems pretty normal right?
One of the pups from the litter was special, and a miracle. Just like Sapphyre.
The pup was born without a front paw. The breeders dream was for this pup to be able to share his life with a child who was going through life the same way he would be.
That is where Sapphyre came into play.

When Sapphyre's mom showed her the photo of Lt. Dan (so rightly named after the Character from Forest Gump) the little girl immediately said "he has a foot like mine" and fell in love with the little pup. It was a match made in heaven.

“We said, ‘Sapphyre show him your feet’ and, oh boy, she threw off her prosthetics and her socks and said, ‘Look!’ Then Lt. Dan put his paw up at the exact same time.

These two were destined to be be together, and we here at Love is being owned by a husky would like to personally wish you both long happy lives together.
